On-premise Report Server
Deploy and manage multiple tenants
The on-premise Bold Report Server comes with a multi-tenant mode that provides a convenient, cost-effective method of deploying and managing your Bold reporting solution for multiple tenants.

Autosave drafts
Worried about an unexpected termination of the report designing session? Our Bold Report Server comes with auto drafts support to prevent data loss if a report editing session terminates unexpectedly. The auto-draft feature saves reports automatically in the background whenever users modify them while in the edit state.

Embedded reporting tools
New indicator report item
Indicators are minimal representations of gauges used to convey the state of a single data value at a glance. You can use state indicator icon sets such as trends, conditions, ratings, and states to suit your needs and export them in various formats.

New data bar and sparkline report items
Using Bold Reports embedded reporting tools, you can create and view data bars and sparklines to show progress information in tables like KPI reports. They help to compare categories quickly one above the other instead of viewing them singly.

3D chart rendering and customization
Bold Report Viewer allows you to view area, bar, column, line, pie, polar, range, scatter and shape chart types with three-dimensional (3D) effects. Additionally, custom properties are supported to change the depth, visual impact, rotation, and perspective of the chart.

Expression support for chart series
You can now provide conditional expressions to change the appearance of the chart series at runtime.
Custom properties of report items can be added and edited
Bold Report Designer comes with a new option to create additional properties for any report items that are not available in the properties pane.
Add HTML to a report
Options are provided to create a text box report item with HTML-formatted text from a field in your data set and render it in reporting. It allows basic sets of tags with CSS attributes. Formatting applies to all supported output formats, including PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. By default, text boxes represent plain text, so you will need to change the mark-up type to HTML.

Ability to create a shared data set with parameters
You can now configure a shared data set with parameters to cache query results or to limit the amount of data based on the runtime user input or default values.
Common features
In this section, you will find information about common Bold Reporting solution features.
Web accessibility support
The Bold Reports solution was built using web accessibility standards and high contrast themes that help reports be accessed by on-screen readers and assistive devices.
Standalone Report Designer app
The Bold Reports solution comes with a fully-featured, standalone Report Designer app that provides a productive environment to create, edit, view, export, and share reports.
