Bold Reports 5.3 is here! It’s loaded with new features and support to enhance your reporting experience. In this article, we’ll provide a quick overview of the latest changes. Get ready for some great enhancements!
In this release of Bold Reports, we have added support for report parts in the Report Server. They enable you to save individual report elements like tables, charts, maps, and indicators. It’s similar to having building blocks for your reports. This makes your reports more organized, and you can use the same parts in different reports. It saves time and ensures consistency in your reports.
Secondary axis for charts
We have provided support for a secondary axis in the chart report items. This support is used to display two sets of data with different units of measurement on the same chart. It enhances the flexibility and informativeness of your reports.
Tooltips for expressions
Tooltip support has been added to the text box for viewing the actual expression. This enhancement allows users to understand and visualize expressions without the need to edit them, creating a more user-friendly reporting process.
Security for Microsoft SQL Data Source
Encrypt and Trust Server Certificate are security options for the Microsoft SQL Server data connector. The former uses SSL encryption for all data sent between Bold Reports and Microsoft SQL Server.
New Look and Feel
Bold Reports has introduced a new appearance for the Report Viewer and Report Designer to align with the latest UI trends. All our platform’s sample browsers have been upgraded to the latest look and feel, making it easier to explore.
